i guess we need to compare to Loma-Nakatani ESPN card which is also on 26th of June when it's all filled in, i bet Loma's card will be "richer", with more meaningful matchups

You can argue that putting a paywall between fans & certain fights, usually bigger fights, is problematic for the sport long term & I'd agree with that. I think the sport has gotten smaller over the last few decades &/or not grown as much as it could've cuz of these paywalls between fighters & fights people wanna see. Thing is idk how you make it worthwhile for all these promoters, fighters, networks, managers to work together towards the greater good of boxing when the best move for them personally is whatever makes them the most money now. Which is sometimes PPV.
Very true, I mean I get it in terms of making the most money from a fighter, promoter and network standpoint, but if they continue doing this, great fights are going to continue to not be made, I mean look at Crawford and Spence, that fight should have happened already and here we are because one says they deserve more money, I mean when is enough going to be enough and fighters start fighting to see who is better?

I mean I've been saying for years now I don't see how you "fix boxing" til there is something or someone with power that is looking out for boxing first & foremost. Right now no one does that. And if no one does that boxing isn't gonna change cuz it doesn't benefit anyone with lil to no power to look out for boxing when the masses aren't going to be doing that. You only mess up your own upside by acting against the masses in that case.

Boxing needs some sort of power structure thats pushing boxing before anything else. And I don't think that can happen til you got a guy with a billion or three he's willing to put into boxing or you need a group of like minded rich guys to link up & try to form some sort of NFL, NBA, UFC, MLB of Boxing. The NFL is looking out for football. The NBA is looking out for basketball. The UFC is looking out for MMA. The MLB is looking out for baseball. Everyone with power in boxing is looking out for themselves.

True that, we need someone who looks solely after boxing, just like you said, everyone is worried about themselves instead of worried about making boxing the best, wish it was like it was in the 80s when the best fought the best, just to see who was better, those were the days.
