Comments Thread For: Hearn: If Team Fury Can't Get Act Together By End Of Week, Plan B Is Joshua-Usyk

Eddie Hearn is holding out hope that the lucrative Tyson Fury-Anthony Joshua fight can be salvaged for August 14 in Saudi Arabia. If that isn't possible and Fury moves forward with a third fight against Deontay Wilder, Hearn intends to move on to Plan B by the end of this week. The most probable Plan B for Joshua, according to Hearn, is a mandatory defense of his WBO heavyweight title against Oleksandr Usyk.

Damn... huge Usyk fan but I ain't sure this is gonna go well for him if it happens. Nonetheless it's now or never, dudes 34 years old and his style is predicated on his mobility and quickness which are the first things to decline, longer he waits for his shot the last chance he's got I reckon.

So Joe Joyce is denied competing for the WBO 'Interim' HW title, and his chance at avenging his loss to Oleksandr fades away, I'm feel for you Joe. The Brits take two L's in one, thanks to Tyson Fury. Maybe Joe Joyce should kick the Gypsy-Bum's ass for costing him his shot.

Fury should just vacate the WBC belt. After all this isn’t really about belts it’s about the best fighting the best. This would leave wilder to fight whyte for wbc belt and then the winner of Aj/ Fury could pursue the wbc belt.

Not really gonna matter if he drops it or not. The WBC has nothing to do with arbitration here. It’s a just contract that needs to be honored between both parties.

if fury vacates though I don’t believe wilder would pursue him without the belt. Just my thoughts.

Anyone else this is a bit if a duck from Fury or is it just me?
I think they always knew they were going to fight Wilder, if the rematch clause had expired then I see no reason why Wilder would challenge it.
