Comments Thread For: Warren Hopes Wilder Takes Less Than $20 Million To Step Aside

Frank Warren, co-promoter of WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, fears that it could cost as much as $20 million to get Deontay Wilder to step aside so Fury can fight Anthony Joshua in a full division unification. Fury vs. Joshua was an inch away from being announced for August 14 in Saudi Arabia.

If you're Wilder, 50 mil or no deal. As AJ-Fury will prob be a trilogy fight.

Wilder seems adamant that he wants revenge. Doubt he'll take a step aside fee. This fight is happening.

Prediction: both Fury and Joshua lose their next fight, against wilder and Usyk.

Fury should call Wilder's bluff and make the fight. If Deontay wants another ass whipping, Tyson should give it to him and then move on.

where did you get that number?

why would they pay him 50 million if the second fight barely broke even and wilder would be getting 40% of the purse in the 3rd fight and lets be honest- nobody wants to see that fight so the PPVs will be poor.

Getting 15 million would be a come up for him because he can get that and get paid for a tune up PPV where he can keep the lions share of everything.

he will be asking for alot of money but he won’t get it 15-20 mil TOPS. Plus ESPN and PBC do not want to lose money with a 3rd fight that nobody but butthurt fans that think Wakanda is real want to watch

              I give up.
I was lucky enough to live through the rise of some amazing fighters in an era where you knew who the best was, I just about remember Ali on tv.
I heard a statistic earlier on the bbc pod i think, there's only been 7 undesputed fights since the wbo was created.
Boxing has become like kids sport's where everyone get's a participation medal only in boxing everyone gets a belt then promoter's do all they can to milk those belts following the path of least resistance.
I don't say this lightly as a life time fan of boxing but the absolute state boxing is in has driven the ufc as a ppv sport regularly getting over a million ppv buys. I am now a bigger fan of the ufc than i am boxing because its the pinnacle of the sport & the best alway's fight the best.
This Fury Aj Wilder merry-go-round, ive had enough & It's tipped me past what I'm willing to tolerate.
Bob Fish eye's slave trader junior Al thanks for destroying anything left of the sport.

If he really wanted “revenge” he would have forced the fight after his humiliating loss. He was also saying in interviews he was past Fury and looking for other fights

its obvious he wants the bag - good for him but don’t front like he wants that ass whooping again

Overhyped usyk can only win a decision, even at cruiser he had no power, AJ aint losing no decision in England with Hearn.

It's funny how you Fury fan boys in here thinking Wilder don't want rematch yet he took this clown to court after IMMEDIATELY enacting his rematch clause. What y'all fail to see is this man can't be bought...IN THE WORDS OF APOLLO CREEDS TRAINER..." HE'S ALL WRONG US BABY" LOL
