I can see why he would want to avoid the fight, he got beat up last time. But then Wilder seems pretty delusional and not too smart so who knows what he's thinking? I wonder what his excuses will be if he loses again?

Honestly I bet the amount Wilder will actually get from this settlement is embarrassingly low

But now he has a right to get a Step aside fee, which the Saudis will probably pay via Fury’s team

          ^^^^^^This is nonsense ^^^^^

If Wilder wanted step aside money, he would have taken it instead of going to arbitration but he wants his belt.

Basically he wants his rematch clause honored and now it has to be.

The only way Fury/AJ is after Wilder/Fury...Haymon/Wilder knows that having that belt is the true leverage.

Of course it was being talked about.

Wilder’s advisors are not ******, they would tell him to exercise it to put him in a position to take step aside money if Fury v AJ is in the works.

That’s what they get paid for.

Wilder won’t fight Fury again, he will take the money.

don’t you understand that this case puts him in perfect position to get a step aside fee? Now that Fury is obligated to fight him.

Fury vs Joshua a week after the Wilder rematch was not being discussed at all.

We shall see what he does but that makes no sense that he exercised his rematch a week after the fight to get on some step aside money for a fight that wasn't even being discussed.

I disagree. I think like most high level guys they want all the smoke, even when they lost. Therefore I think Wilder DEFINITELY thinks he can reverse things as illogical as that seems to most, including myself. That said Wilder is always gonna have a punchers chance vs Fury or anyone else.

Whatever doe. The situation is the situation & business-wise for Wilder I'd argue the move here is try to get a step aside fee with a shot at the winner in August.

I used to think Wilder had zero chance, but now I think he has more than a punchers chance for the simple reason that just like Eubank jr when he finally got his head outta his ass enough to hire & listen to a good trainer,he will be far more dangerous. He's actually humbled himself (even though he'll never admit it) because he wouldn't be reinventing himself if that were not the case, he wouldn't be trying to become an actual boxer & learn defense the right way if he wasn't aware how garbage his boxing ability used to be. Fury battered him because he had terrible defense,I don't think Fury would ko him nearly so easily, especially because Wilder never imagined Fury was capable of kos at all,& hes was dying laughing when Fury said hed go for ko(he thought Fury would run)

Nope. Wilder exercised the binding arbitration clause of the contract to get Fury back in that ring and knock him out. This isn't about money, it's about revenge, pure and simple.
