The dude on the right has afro hair, so he's part black. I bet he could kick the living crap out of the guy on the right.
He doesn't have afro hair. And Carlos Ortiz would have beaten Gomez to a pulp in his prime, Ortiz was probably the best Puerto Rican fighter who ever lived even though he is not given credit for it.
yeah, there are some white Puerto Ricans. Unfortunately they never step into the gym cause of obvious reasons.
dont know if thats the reason, I mean its basically like in the US where most good boxers came out of poor areas "******"..and thats the same for PR, the metropolitan area is no joke.
I was in PR last week and I went to the ceremonial parks. It is estimated that puerto ricans have an avearge of 23 % taino blood (native) the rest is a mixture of west and north african, western european and mediterranean.
So you can see its not easy to classify or put puerto ricans in a box and say they are 99% this and that. If you want to know why don't you pick up a book and read about it.
My whole family is so mixed that you can go from one end of the color spectrum to the other. If you limit your thinking that just because of skin color and type of hair one person is superior to another then you have a very narrow view of life and the world.
IMO boricuas can box because the ones who put on the gloves are for the most part serious atheletes.

The one drop rule. Ever heard of it? If you have one drop of black blood you're black. Period.
