Khan definitely had other things other than boxing and most of it was all the philanthropic work he was doing all around the world. So much respect to him but he was far from a gym rat outside of camp.

It's go time for Buatsi though. This has to be the year he becomes a legitimate title contender. I liked some of the work he did on Saturday but he needs to go to the body more and continue implementing the feints. The LHW division is not all that strong, even Beterbiev is an older fighter who could be had soon.

Is that an excuse I hear for Khan? A 10 week should be more than enough to prepare any good boxer for a fight. If it’s not enough, then an extra 2 weeks. Why should a pro boxer get distracted by anything while preparing for a fight?

But that's just a fighter working when he has a fight lined up. There are fighters that LIVE in the gym even when they don't have fights lined up. Ward used to be in the gym all the time even during his legal disputes when he had no fights coming up, that's what Hunter is referring to.
