Porter is PBC, and he's trying very hard to fight Crawford! Arum has spoken to Kenny Porter several times! Crawford is not "frozen out!" All he has to do is say yes! The Pacquiao fight is dead, why not fight Shawn Porter? Why not pay Shawn Porter what he paid Kell Brook?

However, the only reason Porter is talking to Crawford is because he is the mandatory, and it's his only available title shot for the next year. Showtime Shawn Porter is moving on, and giving up on trying to set up a fight against Terence Crawford after having invested a lot of time in that useless endeavor. Porter (30-3-1, 17 KOs) says he believes WBO welterweight champion Crawford (37-0, 28 KOs) is working on a big fight, which is why he chose not to fight him.

It’s common knowledge that Crawford has been pining away for a fight against 42-year-old Manny Pacquiao, but it’s still unclear if that match will happen. Like Porter, Crawford may be wasting his time as well...

Porter Giving Up On Crawford

“My team for some time has been saying, ‘Move forward,’ but I’ve been keeping my eyes and my heart on a possible fight with Terence Crawford,” said Porter to Boxing Social. “Recently, my dad said, ‘You’ve got to let that go, you’ve got to get back in the ring. You’ve got to stay busy.‘

“Other people in the team are saying, ‘Right now, you’re letting on fighter [Crawford] from allowing you to make money and support your family. So you can’t do that anymore,'” Porter said.

Yeah, that's now. When Porter had a title, he wouldn't consider a fight with Crawford. Crawford is pulling the "I have bigger fish to fry." A Pac fight trumps Porter money-wise. I think we can both agree that Crawford is going to be left holding an empty bag. Porter should just petition the sanctioning body to force the fight. Crawford would have to fight or lose his title. I guess these guys are friends in real life. Maybe that's why Porter isn't enforcing the mandatory. Why isn't the sanctioning body demanding it? Maybe Crawford is going to ditch Arum like he should, then sign with PBC (which is in his best interest). Bob has failed to deliver.

I don't think Porter wants to petition because the percentages would be so low, he really wouldn't make much money. He wants to negotiate a purse, just like Khan and Brook did! Bob has not helped him at all! i don't think Bob really wanted Porter vs. Pacquiao, and I don't think he really wants to deal with the Middle Eastern Arabs! He was extremely negative re: Fury vs. Wilder! As soon as everything seemed to be a go, suddenly Wilder wins the arbitration?
