    DIY Heavy Bag Station

Has anyone here built a Heavy Bag Station capable of holding a 150-160lb bag?
    How did you build it?
    What materials did you use?

Thank you in advance for any input!

doubt I can help but maybe you do have a tree or steel container

I have a 280 in a shipping container. I drilled a hole and hung it off a giant loop bolt. The narrow bits are narrow as ****, you have to hit tight, close. you have like 3 feet of work room.

    I have a 140 from when I was a kid on a tree.

Thanks for the reply and suggestion. The problem is that I am currently abroad and am renting the home I'm in. I'm seriously trying to maintain my punching fitness however, bringing a shipping container or something of the like onto the property wouldn't fly for the Landlord and likely the neighbors. Especially in this type of neighborhood. Also, I'm not sure of the local regulations concerning that type of thing here.

I was thinking of a wooden frame perhaps, or possibly something similar that I could build and then tear down before I head back home. Above all else though, It MUST be sturdy enough in the event that I actually break down and get a heavier bag like the one I have back home. This is very likely because even that one felt fairly light under my heaviest punches or sustained flourishes. At home, I was able to implement a nice ceiling mount with no problems. Here, however, the basement ceilings are too low to house the 180cm bag with the chains, supports, and a dampening spring without the bag dragging on the floor, as well as limiting the overall movement of the bag. I have always understood all of that as a serious no-go for proper heavy bag training, nonetheless wear and tear on the equipment.

Tires are a fantastic way to make a makeshift heavybag.

Excellent idea with the tires, especially if those are threaded rods extending through the tires, they could be tightened at either end with nuts to keep the tires stable and uniform under force. I'd be curious though about the resiliency of the tire after a few heavy blows in one spot... Tires fairly well maintain form under air pressure. Without air inside I imagine they might "mash in" where ever you hit it with enough power??

I already do have a bag though. What I'm trying to do is get some ideas for a somewhat easily made yet sturdy frame/station to suspend the bag from.
