I think HBO has better marketing and better shine (more subscribers) and it appeals to those who want drama, but I think they are pretty equal and although Showtime has some stinkers, you have to look hard on HBO to find Corrales-Castillo, Vasquez-Marquez type of fights there.

They are both fine and a good way to watch tv on a Saturday night.

I do think Showtime works harder with prospects and intriguing fights between up and comers. Sometimes HBO does it, but not as often. But HBO tends to get bigger names.

For me neither one is better.

Damn, I almost forgot about the super six tournament. Showtime deserves a lot of credit for that.

I respect Showtime for fights like Corrales castillo or Marquez-Casmayor but HBO is number one.

I would have to Say HBO just by a small amount, but they aren't as good as they used to be. That GBP deal hasn't done them any favors imo.

But I like Al Bernstien on Showtime, he's very knowledgeable and he doesn't sound like he's trying to sell you a used car like Kellerman does or sound like he has been smoking way too pot like Lennox. I would go with Showtime over BAD for sure. But HBO world Championship Boxing is better that Showtime.
