What is going on with Crawford!

I mean seriously, still no opponent named? There was supposed to have been a big announcement a month ago. There's at least some buzz with Spence fighting Ugas but still nothing on Crawford. Arum needs to sort this out.

Many boxers have gotten Covid, recovered without problems, perhaps got it more than once. It doesn’t have to be revealed and depends on the severity as it could hinder any sort of training activity. Top Rank wouldn’t disclose it. Point is, it could affect a defense

Doubt it has anything to do with Covid. He's still in the gym and just sparred Hurd a few days ago. Crawford went all in on the Pacquiao showdown and didn't really have a plan B. I still had hopes of him fighting Porter but Kenny said the talks went completely quiet and he hasn't heard back from TR for a while so they are moving on. Disappointing, but at this point just make the Ortiz Jr fight. F it, why not?

Boxing in America has gotten worse.
There's some kind of a stalemate or something.
Nobody knows when it will end.
The top fighters don't want anything to do with each other.

I’m saying being sick for a week or talking off two weeks from even minor symptoms could trigger a delay in scheduling. Depends on the fighter, his team or even the mgmt at Top Rank.

Sure, no argument that Covid can delay plans but I'm just saying I don't think that is what is happening here. Look at how one of his coaches Redder was tweeting on how he hates this boxing world and how he doesn't think he will be doing this for long....This was after Coppinger reported that the talks of a fight with Pacquiao were dead. Crawford's team was devastated as they thought they had the deal locked up. Even Crawford's tweet to Porter telling him to be on "stand by" shows he thought the fight with Pacquiao was happening.

He very well may just be waiting it out until his contract expires with TR. Or maybe he is still trying to make the Pacquiao fight happen in another country.

crawford has such a wasted career. fought at a weak 135 and 140. and his resume at welterweight is pathetic.

Crawford hasn’t fought anyone at 147. Why he’s rated so highly is strange to me.
