  • Comments Thread For: Hearn: Canelo-Plant Can Go On Any Platform, But DAZN To Make a Major Play

Talks for an undisputed world super middleweight title fight between Saul "Canelo" Alvarez and Caleb Plant are already under way with Eddie Hearn leading the negotiations on behalf of Alvarez. The Mexican's victory over Billy Joe Saunders in Texas last weekend, which saw him add the WBO title to the WBC and WBA titles he already held, was the last of his short-term contract with Hearn's Matchroom group.

I hope pbc don’t get in the way of this fight being made. Life changing opportunity for plant and he deserves it.

And PBC affiliated networks pretend fighters don't exist and suck the balls off of the PBC fighter.

I like Mora. I don’t understand how Chris Mannix was scoring so many rounds for BJS last weekend

Same. More is more insightful when to comes to the commentary, while Mannix tends to be off at times.

They only have one good commentator which is Kenny. The rest are just horrible, painful at times to listen to.

Canelo can really benefit from fighting on FOX PPV, can you imagine if this gets the kind of promotion the Fury Vs Wilder 2 fight received? He'd easily sell over 1M PPVs. Plant is easily marketable as well.

I thought maybe Canelo had plateaued in popularity, but FOX can catapult him to another level.

Which means we have to pay loads of money on PPV. Screw that for a Turkish kebab.

Only way this fight happens is if it is on FOX or Showtime and they wont guarantee Canelo what DAZN with so the cut and dry of it is that the fight won't be happening. They can offer Canelo a percentage of the car park tickets or what ever the BS back end money nonsense is that they always exaggerate.
