Canelo sees some weak spots in Plant too. They have a plan, until they step into the ring and realise the enormity of the task against Canelo lately.

Does he have enough power and precision to keep Canelo off him? I don't think so. Canelo is not Truax, it's a whole other level, as Saunders discovered.

The thing with Canelo is, he looks one way and when u fight him, its different. Ur facing constant pressure from a guy who's smarter and quicker than he looks from the outside. And even when u do land something, he doesn't go anywhere. He's real solid from the ground up, tree trunk legs and a fire hydrant neck. And he can literally break your face at any point in the fight. To beat him, one thing you seem to need is some pop. Caleb looks sharp, but can he be clever enough as well as hit hard enough to he keep Canelo off him for 12 rounds without eating those hand grenades? We've seen Caleb's defense penetrated and his face busted up by much lesser fighters, so this question needs to be answered. Maybe he's improved since then. If he does somehow go the distance, will he look like Rocky Dennis, and/or need surgery like Billy Joe?

Plant is smarter than BJS, is more slick and has faster hands. He gasses out in fights, but so does Canelo

Right you are sir, and on top of that, plant has. 4-5!inch height advantage, a reach advantage, and unlike Saunders who’s competed at Light middle, is a natural super middleweight. It wasn’t too long ago that Canelo barely got past jacobs on the cards and looked unremarkable. The dark horse is how plant’s hands will hold up. Plant hits harder than his record says and we saw that against Uzcategui...the problem with plant is his brittle hands. Plant will be able to give Canelo the same sort of angles and elusive target that Lara did....it will be intersting and I for one would love to see the man from Tennessee pull off the upset.

Relax folks. This fight ain't happening. Plant has no intention of fighting Saul Alvarez. He will price himself out and then avoid Benavidez. It is more likely we will see Canelo vs Benavidez than Canelo vs. Plant.
