its an event of cultural significance - the biggest heavyweight fight in British history. Hearn as a British promoter should recognise that. Arum as an American, I don’t think has any obligation

you’re right about the Crowds… so have it later in the year if necessary. Right now, it’s been pretty successful trialing large scale events. I’d imagine in July/August, there’d be far less concern/hindrances

It’s probably a two fight deal. Have the first one at home where it belongs
It’s only a one fight deal now

the reason being it’s AJ’s last fight under contract with Eddie. They only have one left. That’s why the fight become a one fight deal the same time it comes out Eddie is moving to DAZN in the UK

So Eddie is Sky for DAZN, where as AJ is still under broadcasting contract with Sky, so the likelihood is Hearn and AJ will part ways after this fight. That’s why Eddie is desperate to make it for as soon as possible, so he will be completely free of ties with Sky by August. Eddie wanted the fight for June originally, when his Sky contract is up.

that’s one reason Eddie won’t wait until a full capacity crowd is allowed in the UK. He and DAZN don’t wanna wait too long and have Eddie still have a connection to Sky via AJ.
