He finally got the win so I'm not going to say he doesn't deserve his p4p #1 anymore. But it did take him a long time to get that win over a tough opponent that didn't end in controversy. Sadly it's more than anyone else is doing in boxing, except Loma when he beat Rigo, but then he lost and lost his p4p spot, Lopez over Loma was a better win too but Loma a smaller guy and Lopez hasn't faced anyone else.
