Personally think its more to do with trying to organise a massive fight in a relatively new territory with multiple broadcasters, various management teams, in the middle of a pandemic than a rematch clause which expired. Yes Wilder had a rematch clause, with a time limit, that time limit wasn't met, not sure why that is apparently so hard to understand.

Its not like a time limit would be unique, otherwise the loser could say they wish to exercise their rematch clause, in 5 years time and the winner would be unable to fight until then.

Who knows with fury, I suspect it’s actually a tactic to try and get in head of Joshua. Surely he doesn’t turn it down now, although I wouldn’t believe frank Warren anyway - we know he has a very clear agenda against Eddie Hearn so will try and spin everything. Could literally be that fury needs to go through the detail with his lawyer first rather than anything else

Man wants to make sure he's gonna be paid, fans all scream he's trying to evade but it's just a matter of time before AJ gets flayed.
