You dont need to. When you sit 70k people, you have to charge a low seat price. Comparing gates is the real metric, comparing purses is another. If Floyd wanted to he could have sold out 100k seats for Pacquiao. Remember Arum wanted to actually build an outdoor arena when Manny was running scared? Checkmate.

Canelo's doing more, no, has done more at the age of 30 than Mayweather did at the same age. All that without speaking English and being from this country.

Put in a Pacquiao or McGregor level (popular) opponent with Canelo in a year or two, and he'll shatter the record.

where did i say oscar had nothing to do with it? I said dont try to credit oscar. Which you did anyway

Floyd broke the ppv record over and over. Not just the non heavyweight ppv. All of them. With and without oscar.

Canelo vs cotto vs mayweather vs cotto ppv numbers? Common opponents

Canelo seen 2 million ppv buys because of who? Mayweather. He hasnt come close since.

Canelo vs mayweather is a lose lose argument for cinnamon bro

All of that is after Oscar made Floyd famous. Like I said compare them up to age 30.

Why when any fighter has some success do the very worst posters that are fans of his bring up Floyd?

canelo selling 70k seats is great. It makes the sport look good. It doesn’t need to be compared to anything Floyd did.

ticket #s dont matter...its revenue...how much does the gate bring? ...rookies still havent learned this.....

even still floyd doesnt have a built in fanbase that canelo and the mexican fighters do....and floyd had as much to do with canelo becoming a star as canelo did....the schaeffer/haymon working relationship really helped launch canelo

floyd became a king and an icon where guys like shane, bernard, roy jones etc couldnt

Floyd and Pac could have sold over 100K tickets. But the fight was indoors.

more clown **** from a clown poster.....yeah oscar helped...a little...but the 24/7 concept sold the fight and it was floyd playing it up....not to mention after that he continued to build his persona and also had a rival building in pac.....even though it took years what made floyd a king was the perceived rival and the people wondering if/when that guy was going to knock him off...oscar helped but floyd took the reigns and did that on alot of his own merit

Oscar and the Big Show helped sell his ****** ****** persona. From then it was all him acting like an imbecile in front of the camera and ducking Pacquiao to sell to the public. I agree with that.

But coming up to the age of 30, where Canelo is right now, he was still B-side to Oscar. There are no boxers out there right now that Canelo would be B-side to.

you mean Floyd outshined fishnets and became a star on his own right.

never forget Floyd making fishnets put the name of his illegitimate kid on his pants to try and save face.

As to your point about canelo Yes threre is- Floyd. If Floyd came back canelo is the b side.
