Canelo is a precision counter puncher. Even if his power is average it will do damage. His accuracy is so high that it is very effective.

It's not Canelo's one punch power that's so impressive, it's how long can keep throwing power shots. I must admit it does look somewhat unnatural. It's practically unheard of for a fighter to move up in weight, 2 weight classes in a relatively short time, and start running through world level fighters with power shots. Yes, Canelo has technical skills but it's more than that. If you can keep throwing power shots all night, than yea it's only a matter of time before you break your opponent down, either with a ko or what he did to Callum Smith and his arm. But since Canelo's been tested, I have to assume that he's just a genetic anomaly and his new stamina for power shots is due to him fighting at a more natural weight. Either that or he's found some way to beat the drug testing system.

Roberto Duran was even smaller and could have knocked the horse Canelo is riding out cold.

You mean like Pacquiao, from David Diaz (lightweight) to Margacheato (super welterweight)?

Seriously. Canelo's back is wide AF. Dude is built like a tank.

I haven't watched much of Pacquiao's career but if he was doing that in close to the short time span that Canelo did and beat world level fighters with mostly power shots - breaking heavier fighter's bones and getting vicious indelible ko's, then yea that's impressive too. But that's gotta be a very rare thing.
