    The Longest Rated Boxer Is Antonio Tarver

    A weekly boxing list compiled by Michael Rosenthal. This week: Boxers with the most weeks in a specific weight in THE RING ratings. Antonio Tarver, the No. 5-rated light heavweight, leads the way with a remarkable 570 weeks -- almost 11 years -- at 175 pounds. Here's the list (as of Sunday night):

    1. Antonio Tarver: light heavywweight, 570
    2. Pongsaklek Wonjongkam: flyweight, 440
    3. Antonio Margarito: welterweight, 424
    4. Alexander Munoz: junior bantamweight, 387
    5. Verno Phillips: junior middleweight, 367
    6. Omar Narvaez: flyweight, 366
    7. Silence Mabuza: bantamweight, 355
    8. Ricky Hatton: junior welterweight, 332
    9. Glen Johnson: light heavyweight, 323
    10. Clinton Woods: light heavyweight, 313

    The most hated is also the most rated. The Milk Dud of Malice put in work some Hall of Fame consideration needs to be given.

    Personnally I don't think Tarver is a HOFer but he ain't far off either.

      Doing that in one of the, if not "the" hardest division is amazing. And people want to call him overrated. lol

        the guy has only fought at welterweight. where else would he be rank?

          Well a guy that sucks big time wouldn't be able to maintain that with the competition now would he??

            That is impressive when you think about all the good, great, and HOF fighters that have been at 147 in that time. That's like 7-8 years, he's not overrated, he's just hated. True story

              Luis Resto Jr. is ranked at welterweight because he can't compete at junior middleweight (ask Daniel Santos LOL), and has nowhere to go.

              In addition, it's not like the division has always been badass. After Mosley and De La Hoya left, people like Judah, Spinks and Baldomir ruled the divison. It wasn't until Williams showed up (beating Resto Jr.), Mayweather took the division over, Cotto moved up from junior welter, Mosley came back down, etc. that the division really got some life pumped back into it.
