Method to Canelo's selection of opponents

It's so obvious that Canelo doesn't want to fight anyone where he would have to make adjustments with. The guys that he has been fighting lately are come straight ahead fighters. Saunders, Yildrim, etc are not smart fighters and the feed right into his game plan. He won't fight smart fighters unless they have a glaring flaw (Amir Khan's weak chin). GGG is this type of fighter as well but he is tough as nails and has power--he took everything Canelo had and kept coming. That is why Canelo is reluctant to fight anyone is has the slightest bit of intelligence. I am not saying that he can't or won't beat Charlo, Andrade, Benevidez, but we all can agree that it will not be easy. You can put hands on Canelo. You can't wear guys down that are smart enough not to stand there and trade punches with you.. He likes fighting the Deontay Wilder type guys--sluggers with limited ring intelligence. Say what you want to about Floyd he was smart and had good defense. i like Canelo but it obvious he is not fighting certain guys because he is lazy and only wants to fight his way. I dislike Floyd the person but the boxer exemplifies the sport--the ability to make adjustments on the fly--something that Canelo doesn't want to ever have to do.

Are you saying Saunders was a straight line, walk forward slugger?

Stopped reading when you said amir khan was a smart fighter. He probably has one of the lowest ring IQs around.

I don't have alot of posts because I enjoy reading the comments and opinions of others not because I am some overly opinionated fanboy.

Haha. Nothing wrong with wanting all the belts at 168.

Right now he fights all 168 champs. There is only one left.

Unifying ALL the belts in a division seems like a good method for all boxers to follow, no?

Canelo is cleaning out the division and can’t fault him for making good fighters look ordinary.
