What happened to Saunders line about having to get carried out of the ring? Did that line apply to everyone but himself?
He got paid millions to go above and beyond to reach the pinnacle, but whimpered out by his own alleged standard.
Hopefully Saunders finally takes time to reflect on the past.
I think he's gotten by on his raw talent which has taken him this far without having to stay in shape and live the life, but when it finally came to the level he didn't have within his easy grasp, all the years of not living the life came rushing in the door.

I don't understand why so many commentators were perplexed by the withdrawal. It was obvious from the bruising, lack of swelling and reaction that he had broken his orbital or cheek. Boxing is a sport, not a bar fight - it would be outrageously irresponsible to allow a boxer to risk blindness by continuing in those circumstances - arguably criminal. What's so weird is that broken orbitals are a common boxing injury, yet nobody on DAZN suggested it, and Ade seemed to imply it was unlikely.
