If Canelo loses, he shouldn’t be ranked on a p4p list

    If this happens:

Canelo’s resume would all of a sudden have only one win that’s considered to be better than good.

Even that win would look way less impressive.

It would also mean he’s never been the best champion in any weight class he fought in.

Considering he’s had seven fights that could have gone the other way, I’m not sure how you rank him ahead of the other borderline top 10 p4p guys if he loses tonight.

        Seven losses? L-O-L.

I really don't know what goes through your head when you make your threads.

            Jorge Juarez

Austin Trout (I blame open scoring for this, Trout took over after the scores were announced and Canelo realized he had awful cards in his favor)

            Floyd Mayweather

            Erislandy Lara

            GGG 1

            GGG 2

            Daniel Jacobs

Absolutely no case for Jacobs, NONE. No one talks about how bad those scores were as Canelo clearly won easily and had a case for 9-10 rounds.

Canelo landed the better and more effective shots vs Trout. With the KD, no case for Trout unless you just gave him every close round.

By the same criteria, GGG could have four losses, right? Canelo 1 & 2, Derevyanchenko and Jacobs.

Canelo-Jacobs was scored a draw by many in the media, including this website.

Theres tons of articles complaining about the Trout scoring in the Canelo fight.

GGG could easily have four losses. Jacobs was a 1 point fight on the cards. I thought Derevyanchenko won 9 rounds against him. Canelo fights obviously didn’t go his way either.

Again, Jacobs got VERY favorable scorecards vs Canelo. He had NO case at winning the fight even if you give him all the relatively close rounds. Canelo won 9 or so rounds that fight.

You fight top guys then you will have close fights, welcome to the world of boxing! To say Canelo shouldn't be on the P4P list if he loses this fight is laughable when you consider the fighters he beat.
