Yep, and wake me when Canelo fights Joshua, Fury, and the ghost of Ali, Marciano, and Joe Louis. A quick question... how does this boring azz fighter sell 70,000 tickets for this fight. People must have been forced to buy a ticket under penalty of death, or people like to see boring fighters, or perhaps it was mass hypnosis?

Mexicans (in this case Tex Mex) support Mexicans. Doesn't move the needle for casuals at all.

If your reasoning is correct and 70,000 Tex Mex folks bought tickets because "Mexicans support Mexicans" then why don't they show up in such great numbers for any other Mexican fighter, particularly those fighters that are not as boring as Canelo?

Good GOD this is pathetic.
Why are you even following boxing

Your name is TMT and Floyd is fighting YouTubers after getting gift decisions in JLC1 and Maidana1. And he ducked prime Pac, prime DLH, prime Mosley, prime Cotto, and never fought Margarito. Dude feasted on Robert Guererro, Andre Berto, Victor Ortiz, and a whole host of bums

If a British fighter sells 70k in England, is he not popular because they are British? How bout a black American fighter selling 70k in America, would he not be popular because the people buying the tickets are American? Keep in mind that Canelo is selling 70k outside his home country and during a pandemic

Canelo is not as great a boxer as De La Hoya was, but he's done fantastically well. He's made so much money, he should now try and cement a great legacy by beating the best of the rest.

Saunders is definitely a challenge, a clever southpaw and a better boxer than Callum Smith.

Canelo is a great fighter building an all time resume. He’s in his prime and all fight fans should enjoy him right now. He is at the top of the boxing world, undisputed. The haters just make him more of a draw. Like him or hate him, you’re watching an all time great right now.

His ticket sales are always strong, but the buy rates for his fights are pretty weak, especially in comparison to actual boxing superstars from the past. Canelo is big by today’s standards which is an indication of how weak boxing’s star power has become. That clown show with mayweather and the Paul bros two days ago stole all of the headlines from this fight, which is just further proof of what I’m saying.

Wowwwwww. Some of you guys around this place really have lost ya God Damn minds. A few need to actually stop, read what they’re typing and say it out loud and realise how pathetic some people sound. And if, you are indeed grown men like I’m presuming you guys are 21+, than I genuinely fear for the next generation and so on because some of you shouldn’t have the privilege of procreating and passing on these dunce genes ....
