I Like Canelo but NO VERSION OF CANELO beats any version of Mayweather. Just a AWFUL stylistic match up for Canelo and it should be ZERO shame in that but instead fans and their PRIDE just cannot accept Defeat

Yes he was OLD and way past it but because he did not take much punishment through out his career he was still SHARP AF late in his career

F%CK your feelings, emotions and PRIDE it mean absolutely nothing in boxing and you cannot somehow channel that sh%t through your favorite fighter and give him some type of extra boost to win a fight lol that is the problem of becoming too emotional attached fans do become that delusional
I like this post. I watched both fighters come up, admire both their ring skills. Im a Floyd fan, saw something special in him from the start, but same with Nelo. When Canelo becomes 36 will he feel like he’s so much more in his prime than he was at 22-24? Will Canelo at 36 clearly beat a bigger hungry 23yr old who ends up becoming an all time great? The weights alone make it a bit of a mythical match up. Floyd’s style stymies everyone. Everyone’s punch output goes down and their connect percentage goes down too. Hard to overcome. I think Canelo is great and much improved. But Canelo is six years younger than Floyd was then and he’s already up at 168 and been to 175lbs. If you dragged a younger Floyd up to MW then yeah Canelo would have a much better chance. I’m cdn and I think Nelo has a good shot vs Beterbiev. I’d love to see that. Beterbiev isn’t young. That’s the fight worth all the credit?! Right? Maybe? I don’t know lol

I don’t think he was ever at his prime at 47 or above honestly.

I admit I’m a huge Floyd fan. But Floyd was obviously better at 140 or below. The fact that Canelo didn’t put him in a coma is a huge testament to Floyd.

The training is often harder than the fights Floyd has punished his body harder than most, 20 yrs of that carries its own issues.

            ''Green'' in age only.

There are no amount of fights to properly prepare a guy for May. Gotta sell out and do what Maidana tried to do... bumrush and hope the judges see shlt that isn't there.

You was closer to your prime than.nel o, you had all the experience in the bank.
the superlatives nelos getting from his peers now is even beyond what Floyd was getting. Nelos beaten foes are claiming nobody beats nel o now unless he steps up to cruiserweight?

                Been fighting PROFESSIONALLY since 15
Had 42 wins to Mays 44

Some fight fans, not you of course, feel no amount of fights would have made a difference. May is a once in a lifetime talent.

Alvarez has gotten bigger, not better. I would even go as far to say? His stamina is worse.

Mayweather won that fight 11-1 - 12- 0 it was a complete shut out.

I think the Mayweather that fought De La Hoya would of stopped Alvarez, his corner may have pulled him out.

You cannot beat Mayweather with under par stamina, lack of gears and movement etc.

But.nel o said if he fought better fighters like lara, cott o etc before Floyd he's have beat floyd.
When nel o was fighting Floyd he wasn't beating people like he is now today. His beaten foes weren't aiming superlatives at nelo like they are today. Callum Smith said nobody beats nel o unless he steps up to cruiserweight maybe.?
I don't think prime Floyd is beating this version of nelo. That's me saying what I see, Pac s not beating him also.
But Pac\may are smaller i m saying at nelo weight 154 above

It's ok to quote me...That's what the quote button is for.

Nelo was only ''green'' because May made it look so easy.
