He was afraid of canelo he respected him too much so he preferred to use his Height and reach advantage.

My prediction for the fight, and also how people will say the fight went:

BJS will just outbox Canelo in 2-4 rounds. Canelo will similarly win about 3-4 rounds pretty clean. The other 3rd or so of the rounds will be pretty even.

Canelo fans will say Canelo clearly won, wasn't even close. Canelo haters will say BJS got robbed. In reality it will probably be a fairly even fight. Canelo's power and counterpunching with keep Billy at bay a little bit and will lead to a lot of close rounds. Some rounds Saunders will be on his game and knick those. Some rounds Canelo will be too solid and pick those up.

In the end, the judges, will have it 8-4 at least for Canelo. BJS should maybe win it 7-5 or maybe 6-6 or 7-5 to Canelo.

Problem is that Billy Hoe is levels below Cotto, GGG, Mosley. Canelo beat Motto and Mosley, but that was just because he's really 3 weight classes above their natural weight. Both of those 2 are welterweights and canelo is a super middleweight.

Kova does punch strange in that fight. His jab doesn't have the same speed, viciousness and mal-intent like in other fights. Some people think he was probably drained, others said he just got old overnight, for conspiracy theorists: he could have been paid under the table to throw a fixed fight. For Canelo: He attributed it to Mexican mentality, it created an aura of intimidation to Kovalev that made him fight that way. Either way this win has propelled Canelo into new heights.

Facts, but Billy Ho aint that good. Billy Ho has to use FOOT speed and movement as much as possible, because canelo's 2 biggest weaknesses are his very slow feet and poor stamina. But Canelo does have the fastest hands in boxing besides Gary Russell Junior so you don't want to get into an exchange with him.
