In context...Crawford was implying that Canelo doesn't fight a lot of slick complete fighters that are very often Black. That said first on your list is Lara but he's actually Cubin. White people think he's black because they often lump everyone dark skined into one group. Trout is a mid level fighter with one good win over a faded Cotto. Kirkland is a punching bag that gets KOed by every top 10 JR middle and Middle weight. But hey, they do have dark skin so I'll give you that. Since we are being honest it should be said that both times Canelo actually fought a prime, complete, sharp fighter ( that happen to be black) he had problems.... and hasn't fought another since.

As for Crarford's competition... Keith and Garcia demanded 10 million, Manny wants 40 and Spence doesn't want the fight at any price. Just sayn, you can't force an opponent to into the ring that doesn't want to fight.

Lara IS black. We are talking about race, not nationality....Is he not "black enough"? Name anymore than 2-3 "slick black complete" fighters in SMW then Crawdaddy can start talking. The 2 "problem" fights mean nothing if they couldn't win and that was against a different version of Canelo. In fact, even Lara has commented on how much he has improved and Trout on the night said simply the better man won-no excuses.

Answer me this-How many of these "slick black" fighters are there at SMW???? The only slick fighters are Plant and BJS...Canelo is fighting one on Saturday. You guys make it sound like Canelo has been hiding out from these guys when he has taken the fights, despite these slicksters stinkin up the joint and crying about the cards not going their way.

I don't use the word slick, that's the word of a casual.

Most casual fans are afraid of punchers with power. Canelo is not. He has an iron chin and is typically faster and better reflexes than anyone who can punch. So he fights fighters like this. He isn't fooling any true fan of the sport by taking on these big punchers and beating them with his speed and reflexes. Even though I thought he lost to GGG but he clearly beat Callum Smith.

Canelo's weakness is a combination of good defense, hand speed, foot speed, a great jab, and fundamentals. Andrade and the Charlos have all of these things, none of Canelo's opponents since Lara have, which is why Canelo won't fight them.
