In a move that makes no sense, Japan's Nobuhiro Ishida was crowned the WBA's interim-junior middleweight champion after winning a decision over Marco Avendano of Venezuela. So the WBA puts up two aging clubfighters who have never won a meaningful contest and call it a "title fight" just to get extra sanctioning fees. Ishida may officially be the worst of the 75 or so "champions" today. Ranks right up there with the WBC putting 30-11 Tomas Rojas in with 32-13 Everardo Morales for the interim superfly title in July. Pretty soon every other fight is going to be for some type of titleComment
