Wrong! Jones has many times praised Mexican fighters as a whole and individually including Canelo as well and considers his favorite fighter of all time to be Salvador Sanchez and on top of that doesn't show bias in commentating toward fighters of a particular background.

Gotta admit this has the feeling of a Felix Trinidad vs Winky Wright witten all over it. Trinidad was supposed to steamroll Wright but lost every single GD round because of styles. I'm not betting against Canelo per se just wouldn't surprise me if Saunders was much better than people realized. This goes for Plant too. They both seem like they could be incredibly difficult fights for Canelo due to styles. Saunders has absolutely zero shot at hurting Canelo but I can see a pity pat ring generalship victory in the cards if he can stay away from Canelo's power.
