Buzz Level: 1-10 For Canelo Alvarez vs Billy Joe Saunders

So what do you say? How excited are you for this fight, if at all?

Personally? I'll say I'm about a 7. I think BJS will be at his best and give it a legit go. This is a different style from Canelo has faced in recent years. Eventually I expect Canelo to start breaking Billy down and get a possible late stoppage win or a wide decision win but this is a solid fight. I like it!

I would be a 6. I would be more excited if I thought Saunders had a legitimate chance to win.

I agree that the style difference adds some intrigue, but I don’t think it will be a compelling fight. Hopefully im wrong.

I expect a wide Canelo UD.

Canelo is going to win quite a bit of these fights with wide decisions. But BJS is going to come in great shape and won't be standing right in front of Canelo.

Which fights with Canelo would have you more pumped?

I say a 6. I’m slightly more excited about this one than Canelo’s recent opponents, but I’m not just losing my mind.

I want to see fights with new opponents where I think the opponent is capable of winning.

Charlo, Andrade, bietebiev/Bivol winner or either . Ultimately, I’d like to see the Spence/Crawford winner in with him.

            I say about a 6.

Like the other poster said Canelo hasn't fought this style in recent years so ill be interested to see what new tricks he shows.

              9.

Saunders is going to box Canelo’s head off, I know it. After two or three rounds, Everyone is going to sit up and realise this is a real fight.

I would say im at 10 on the scale but I’ll wait until after the weigh in. Then it’s really on.

im quite enjoying the bit of drama today, Billy turning into the Saunders show purposely. He’s got people talking about the fight. But it gets tedious after a bit because it’s clearly contrived and I’m just looking forward to the weigh in and fight.

I'd say 7. Bjs is doing a great job promoting the fight. Canelo is boring outside the ring as he is inside

                  9. I think BJS with win the majority of the early rounds with his jab and movement. I don’t think it’s out of the realms of possibility that he makes Canelo look like a plodder.

The question is will he have the stamina to implement his game plan for the entire fight.

It's not compelling for me. I could care less about this fight. I'd give it a ZERO.
