Thing is, BJS's entire game plan centers on the assumption that Cnelo will be chasing him all night.
What if Cnelo doesn't and decides to just stand in the middle of the ring or let Billy do the opposite?
Like Cnelo stated in one of his interviews, he's become patient and no longer the fighter who fought Lara and Mayweather.
So what's the plan B? You don't even have to have a large ring if Cnelo decides to stand in the middle of the ring.
Billy Joe was the one chasing Murray in that fight.
Meaning, Billy can't implement his running style if you don't let him.
To be clear, most fighters with running styles, whatever you want to call it,
are not necessarily ineffective when not running. Most times they're even better.
So opponents like Lemieux or Murray are damned either way, but have better chances in chasing than not.
Huge difference is this is Canelo. Not some ordinary fighter.

I agree BJS himself has used small rings v certain weaker low level fighters. But now that its Canelo he thinks if he can run away enough he'll somehow win.
I just found this vid of another BJS fight vs a D level,& its a smaller ring has to be 18' at most. The irony is the UK doesn't allow 24 ft rings but this wanker wants to pull out like his pops should've done.....

It was Robert Garcia that said in a vid(along w Mikey) that the ringsize won't make a difference in this fight (& he gave almost the same reason you did as to why, because Canelo has learned to be patient & it won't matter if Saunders runs if he doesn't have the power to keep him off)
