Manny Pacquiao to reveal retirement plan despite 2022 doping enrolment

    https://www.***************.net/2021...-plan-2022/amp

Manny Pacquiao will reveal his retirement plan shortly after confirming his next contest is on the way to being approved.

Until now, Pacquiao’s future has been under a cloud due to the ongoing pandemic. Without Covid-19, Pacquiao certainly wouldn’t have lost two years of his career at such a delicate stage.

The upside for fans of the boxing legend is that he’s enrolled in VADA testing until 2022. This scenario means there’s a possibility the Filipino Senator could extend his career beyond the current year.

I’d be happy if he just retired. ATG career already and the Thurman fight is a great one to end on.

I’ve always been torn on whether I wanna see a 40+ Pac fight the likes of Crawford or Spence, I’d never write Pac off but I think they could do some serious damage to him at this stage in his career. I have a horrible feeling watching Pac in the 20’s could be like watching Duran in the 90’s. When you’re already naturally undersized it’s very difficult to keep competing with these younger stronger dudes as father-time begins to take it’s toll, no matter how great you are.

Most likely scenario is that he fights once this year and his last will be just before May 2022.
I really think he'll run for President. He seemed sure in taking his chances because he is polling somewhere between 2nd and 3rd place.

The campaign season for the Philippine elections begin in February 2022. He'll probably make a fight happen just before May 2022 to make people vote for him. He did this in 2016 for his Senate race.

Really unfortunate what's going on in the Philippines. They are locking down people still and there seems to be no end in sight for tourist and expats to travel there.
