I'd also say Ruiz' feet are fleetier than Povetkin's

Whyte is not going to dance and be cute for 12

Have you even watched them fight? Ruiz's foot speed is the slowest i've ever seen. He made Arreola look fast.

Again, old AND slow Povetkin (of feet and fist) put Ali 2.0 to sleep.

          2) Ruiz has to watch squaring up and being lazy with his left jab Whyte will catch him otherwise.
          Yep. This exactly.

Yes he got caught by a good clean punch. That happens a lot at HW. What was happening before that though? The best HW ever (head to head) got caught by Rahman. When are you guys going to realise that a fighter getting caught at HW isn't the be all and end all? Especially when they were winning and easily win the rematch. I mean it's been happening for over 100 years now.

More elusive than Arreola that's for sure, who was having success until he changed the plan and pressed like the Gormless Gonzo he is.

You are talking about rematched fights

As long as Ruiz doesn’t get caught by the customary left hooks that he always get caught with then I see Ruiz stopping Whyte late.

If Whyte didn’t have awful balance and footwork, I’d pick him. He has a long enough jab and reach to keep Ruiz on the end of it all night. Ruiz is useless if you can keep him at a certain distance.

the problem is Whyte has awful footwork, he’s often off balance which would allow Ruiz to get into a range which he shouldn’t be able to.

for that reason, it’s a close one. Could go either way.
