10-10 is allowed in a 10 point must system… the winners of that round were scored 10 points without penalties

As much as I dislike even rounds, it would be unjust to arbitrarily afford the round to one fighter over the other where the rounds are evenly competitive

115-113 Parker would mean Parker won 7 rounds, drew 1 round (80 pts), lost 4 rounds with one being a KD (9*4, then -1, 35 pts). Giving Parker 6 or 7 rounds isn’t grossly unfair

Even rounds are definitely more frequent in European boxing. Low output higher accuracy tends to be scored more leniently in the US. Just one of the many cultural variants in the sport

The one thing I didn't like about Derek Chisora was his heavy breathing after round three.

Parker is going to be in serious trouble vs nearly all top HWs... even Povetkin, Hunter, Ortiz, Arreola, usyk, ruiz. Wilder, Fury, Joshua, Joyce would stop him. Doubtful he ever gets another title.

I had Parker ahead by a nose, although I can understand the scorecard Chisora got. It was a close fight, despite one card being pretty ridiculous.

Parker took that win off the back of a far more consistent jab, and landing the better combinations between the two. Chisora certainly should get a pat on the back for coming forward, but..coming forward doesn't always equal effective.

Bar the knockdown, this fight played out pretty much exactly as most people predicted - Chisora will come out hard early, fatigue through the middle where Parker will take control, and it'll inevitably break down in the final round as both guys look for a last-minute KO.

I feel for Chisora, I really do. He seems like a pretty straight up guy. But unless he can add another string to his bow late in life - a true KO punch, or a better fuel tank that doesn't empty by the 5th round..then he's going to end up with some tough decisions. I want him to succeed, and I understand he's frustrated, but it is what it is.
