Will Cotto kill himself maintaining his weight. 3 have already failed

As everyone already knows who pays attention to our beloved sport. The Puerto Rican star's training camp is already in progress.

This is the earliest and longest training camp Puto, err Cotto has gone into. Speculations are the 'Rican is concerned about making weight for the contracted weight of 145lbs.

If recent history serves us right. Three of PAC's victims have fallen into this trap. The first one was Erika Morales. The f**ker was so weight-drained for his trilogy he ended up looking like the guy from tales from the crypt rather than a prizefighter.

The second id*ot was Oscar De La Joto. After several taunts to PAC through the media, the instigator agreed to fighting at a weight he had not fought in, in seven years. He also went into camp early to get acclimated to his "new weight division". We all know what happened.

The third *diot's name is Ricky Flattened. He also had a longer than normal training camp since he's notorious for yo-yo dieting. We all know how that ended.

So, what do y'all think. Will Cotto avoid falling into the same trap or end up like the rest of 'em.

      That's what they all said.

Remember, Erika even hired Velocity to help him lose the weight and thought that a longer camp would benefit him, what happened?

Oscar De La Hoya was seen and heard by millions through that show on HB*. He said, he felt fast and his punch was stronger than ever, what happened?

Ricky Flattened, well, need I say more, hehe.

Erik and Oscar were past their prime, and well, Hatton..um, I don't remember him ever being prime. But yea I don't see this being an issue with Cotto. He is still young and shouldn't have a problem.

having a long training camp should not always be seen as a negative. if done properly it can be good for the fighter.

david haye went from one training camp to another, thats back to back training camps in his fight against enzo maccarinelli and he looked fine in his fight.

as for cotto he has a good conditioning coach who seems to know his fighter and seems pretty thorough and up to date. also 145 is not an impossible weight for cotto, he weighed in at 146 vs clottey which leads me to believe that he had removed the underwear and done a bit of skipping he could have made 145 on that night.

personally i see this fight being alot like DLH and hopkins. the smaller fighter wants the belts but doesn't want his head taken off so he pushes for a fight just below the actual limit (156 i think in DLH/b-hops case and 145 in pacmans/cotto's case) but with the belts at stake.

imo in the ring cotto will start slowly (like b-hop started slowly), pacmans speed and movement will look razor sharp (just like DLH's did) in comparison to the bigger and slower opponent. however after round 4 cottos body will have warmed up, he will have grown accustomed to fighting with the fatigue and pacman will be slower, as the fight goes on cotto will grow stronger (just as b-hop did) and he will finish pacman within 8 rounds imo.

the one danger that cotto does have that b-hop didn't is that pacman might take him out with one shot early on (ala hatton) or he will cut him.

You mean the DQ that clottey got because all the headbutts that he did on that fight.
