Comments Thread For: Andy Ruiz-Chris Arreola: $50 For The Fun

By Cliff Rold - Personal memories are short. Collective memories are the same. It's true in lots of areas of life. It's true in boxing too. How short a memory is often reflects how much memory is built up. Upon the recent passing of Marvelous Marvin Hagler, those who were around when he was fighting were reminded how much time has gone by since then.

Boxing fans make fun of British PPV's and a lot f the time rightfully so. But $50 for this has got to be one of the worst PPV's ever.

I heard Ruiz Jr is really proud of himself for "getting down to 255lbs"

Like wtf, this guy shouldn't be an ounce over 220lbs.

It should be fun. Arreola is rarely in a dull fight and Ruiz seems to have a similar style to Arreola, but this is FAR from PPV worthy. This fight holds almost no significance in the boxing world. Ruiz beating Arreola does nothing for him and if Arreola beats Ruiz, which he probably won’t, he’s not going anywhere anyways.

Holy crap. I completely forgot this was on PPV. Brings back the harsh memories of when boxing had a PPV almost every other weekend, lol.

So they're charging for a fight where the guy is coming off a loss to fight a gate keeper? What the hell. This should be straight a up ESPN fight. Not even PLUS!

And along the lines of boxing history and viewing before all the talk of PPV there were fights on every weekend and all you needed was a good antenna and a couch to enjoy solid fights. So there is that fact also,...... Most people do not mind spending money they just dont like having someone talk them out of it is all.
