Broner isn't affiliated to a gang, he is above that, he is his own gang! He has those voices in his head keeping him company and entertaining him daily, lol. On a serious note, Equality for all has got to come some day or at least major steps toward that by shining a light on inequality. #1. Black Lives Matter
#2. Facts matter and opinions do not. Nam seems to be divorced from reality.
#3. Has anyone reached out to the boxers mentioned in this case for comment? Especially those with alleged “gang affiliations” e.g. Broner, Charlo, Davis. Or do they care that an athletic commission is accusing them of having “gang affiliation”? Do they have “gang affiliations”?
#4. America is having a serious conversation about systemic racism and this suit reads to be just another example of that discussion. I wish the plaintiffs the best.

I am not sure what qualifies the writer, Sean Nam, to judge the plaintiffs in this case but since he did, I would like to add my two cents. If Jacobs’ godmother (Ms. Perry) secured a “probable cause of discrimination” decision from the Human Rights Commission, then that means THERE IS A PROBABLE CAUSE OF DISCRIMINATION. I am quite sure the agency has far more experienced personnel than the writer in identifying patterns and practices of discrimination. Nam’s perceptions, which seem to be delivered from the perception of white America, do not matter, and only serve to taint the well against the plaintiffs. I bet he also believed that Derek Chauvin was innocent.

Just so you know, racism is embedded in the dna of America and that is a damn fact! Perry, a black woman, is exposing discrimination, and so is Nam by writing that she has a " long – and questionable – history of filing internal complaints". Oppressors always put black plaintiffs on trial because black and brown people are just supposed to suffer in silence. "How dare them speak out?" If Ms. Perry were a white woman, she would be lauded and have a tv show like ABC's Rebel. Exposing and fighting injustice is an honorable and courageous quality when a white woman does it but let a sister do the same then she is suddenly "whining" and subjected to character assassination, e.g., she has a "patchy record". Facts for your readers: Perry was terminated from previous jobs NOT because of job performance. In every case, her job performance was proven to be exemplary. Perry was terminated from previous jobs because she exposed the illegal activities occurring at the institutions where she worked. Is Nam suggesting that exposing a NYLS law professor’s possession of child ****ography was wrong? Or maybe Nam thinks and wants his readers to think that she was wrong for exposing Cablevision’s union-busting activities. Both activities that she reported and was subsequently fired for were ILLEGAL and her termination retaliatory! Nam should get his facts straight and report the story without bias or opinion. Perry has been fearless in defending those that can not or will not defend themselves. She should have her own damn show!

The fact that Nam cites Thomas Hauser, a senior writer at Boxing Scene, as a credible source for this story is utterly ridiculous! Hauser does know Ms. Perry or even what her voice sounds like. Hauser has never spoken to Perry, nor Seme. Readers should know that Hauser became obsessed with Ms. Perry who is not an athlete, but for some reason, she lives rent-free in his mind since she exposed his buddy and former lawyer - David Berlin. While Hauser and his boy, Berlin, continue to scapegoat her for Berlin’s termination from NYSAC, it was Berlin’s discriminatory tactics of removing older inspectors from the inspector assignment rotation that got him booted from that commission, not Ms. Perry. Berlin engaged in what is called AGE DISCRIMINATION and Perry merely stood up for the older inspectors. FACTS! At this moment Hauser should be applauding Ms. Perry because was not it he that wrote an article accusing NYSAC of the very same thing Ms. Perry and Mr. Seme are suing for - "wage theft"? Remember Notes and Nuggets from Thomas Hauser: The NYSAC and Minimum Wage – Oops!? Racism and revenge make Nam’s idol, Hauser, totally conflicted. Nam and Boxing Scene appear to be following Hauser down a legally challenging rabbit hole.

Boxing Scene, Nam seems to fear truth-telling or only wants to report parts of the story. Why might that be? This article appears to be a libelous attempt to discredit Ms. Perry and Jean Seme. Does exposing Andrew Jackson - the white man - and a member of the media - who threatened to kill Ms. Perry after Davis’ fight not sit well with Boxing Scene? Does it cause anxiety to do so? Is the media protecting the media? Is a black woman not allowed to work free of terrorism and without having her life threatened by a white man? Does black lives matter? Daniel Jacobs should have knocked Jackson TF out. If Perry is as litigious as Nam wants the readers to believe then I would be INCREDIBLY careful to get my facts straight or be prepared to open my wallet a bit.
