There is no doubt in my mind that the DR will have great boxers coming out of there soon. I really like how Dominicans go all out in sports. I mean sometimes I wish the government here in PR pushed more programs to get kids involved in different sports. Also if professional sports paid good here then I know we would have more talent making it big worldwide.

Yeah they should have lower prices for kids on boxing gyms because sometimes people don't box because they can afford the fee.

Edwin was at the top of the 165 lb. amateur class for like 4 years straight over Danny Jacobs, Estrada, Guerrero, Quillin, Greene, etc. All it takes is 1 of them to be great and it will change the tide of non-interest in boxing at the grassroots level in DR.

boxing will be fine as long as corrupted greedy promoters and sanctioning companies (ibf, wbo etc) are completely gone.
