Would Ruiz-Arreola have been a pick ‘em in 2018?

I think so. I really don’t think either would be favored in the betting odds.

Arreola would have been viewed as the one with experience who stepped up to a world level.

Andy Ruiz would be considered a nobody.

Ruiz was seen as more threat to Joshua then Miller was . Most posters on here said that , Hearn said that . Only trolls after the fight made it out like team Joshua tried to take an easy fight . It’s actually the opposite, Arreola made a big name for himself against Kownacki even in the loss , very one know Parker’s win over Ruiz was debatable. They were never viewed as the same level fighter.

Ruiz was well known since fighting Parker in 2016. Many fans felt like he won in that fight. Arreola would be more experienced. It would be 50 -50 fight, yeah.

Ruiz-Arreola would not have been close to a pick em in 2018. Arreola was coming off multiple knockout losses and unimpressive performances. Ruiz only had debatable L to Parker. Ruiz has probably only been an underdog in 3 of his fights in his career. Ruiz would've been a sizable favorite then.
