Don't forget the dark horse Mauricio Lara! Dude's a beast
Agree! Lara is the most dangerous puncher of all the names at the top imo, very excited to see him again and whether he can repeat his first performance against Warrington

GRJ by decision. I think he’s really talented. Such a shame he’s so inactive.
Very interesting fight, with GRJ's speed and quick hands vs Navarrete's reach and workrate

I’d probably say GRJ is still the #1 in the division until he officially moves up. Navarrete would be my #2 guy at 126. After that I’d probably go Xu or Warrington but he’s got to avenge that Lara loss to retain his status as one of the top guys at 126.
Warrington/Lara 2 is such a big fight, winner comes out of that in the top 5 for sure, 2 very different fighters that will provide different difficulties for any opponents

Forgot to mention Galahad/****ens which should be coming up soon for the IBF title. Galahad probably deserves to be at least mentioned in this conversation

Gary Russell Jr by decision is the smart pick. But he's been so inactive that if the fight were to happen within the next 6 months Navarrette has a very real chance.

I'm hoping Daniel Roman and Brandon Figueroa move up to 126 after their next fights. Those dudes are huge for 122 and would benefit from moving up.

Rumours were it was going to be on the Canelo-Saunders undercard but that seems unlikely now. Jazza is in camp at the moment so they must have some sort of target date.

Figueroa is pretty young too, he’ll grow into the weight sooner or later.

Dang he's only 24 years old. Yup he'll move up soon.

Figueroa VS old Gary coming up in 2022!

Both good calls, Roman has been at 122 his entire career and Figueroa seems a prime candidate to move up soon. Both big action, high volume guys that would fit right in at this weight class. Anybody think Rey Vargas can make any noise at 126?
