I can't tell you how many times I read articles claiming Saudi is interested and negotiations begin but nothing ever happens.
Pandemic or not i think this fight always had a strong possibility of getting made in saudi, just like joshua ruiz 2 randomly landed there due to the site fees they willing to pay, agreed in past numerous ridiculous numbers have been thrown around from the middle east and nothing came to fruition, i think Eddie took the gamble last time and it paid off which ultimately set the stage for the big one. Either way cant see this not happening now unless either gets injured.

Saudi’s aren’t there to make a profit. They are on a big PR/Propaganda campaign to change the image of the country.
Holding a heavyweight unification in their country is more valuable than turning any profit.
Was probably the only way this fight happens. Hearn tried to give Wilder that $100 million guaranteed but he was afraid to go for it and try to become undisputed heavyweight champion. Glad these two are working toward making it happen.

Damn. You guys sound more interested in the money than the fight itself. Glad they are getting paid, but some of you are more concerned about the things that are outside of the fight.

Super dope for the fighters. If the PPV numbers do as expected, both can end up with close to 130-140M a piece.

pretty much the gist of it but Tyson and Joshua built their profile up to this type of draw and magnitude so kudos to them. The biggest fight in boxing is coming to fruition, cant ask for more!....and Samantha Kumoko is fine as hell!!

You understand which story you are commenting on, right? It's the article that is about the money.

They were always going to make loads of money. This fight would probably be called the “Money fight”.... They need to announce a date before fans starts dozing off doe.

Joshua always seemed more willing to fight Fury than the dangerous KO artist Wilder hence the 15% offer that was always going to be refused. The landscape as has changed dramatically since with Fury removing Wilder and putting himself on equal financial footing with big earning Joshua . Money has spoken and the fight is on it's just a pity it has to be in a place that has little fight atmosphere and most fans won't get to see the biggest domestic clash ever.......BUT at least we get to see it...just hope the promoters are sane with their greed regarding PPv pricing as it could work out cheaper the buy a new T.V. if they don't see sense.
