Jake Paul has outsold Crawford, Spence, Wilder, or any other top American boxers. When it comes to being taken seriously, this sport has fallen on life support here in America. We could have a renaissance if everyone just decided to fight each other, but oh well. Twitter fights are cool too. RIP, I guess.

&& somehow, Ruiz v Arreola is PPV worthy these days. Says a lot about the state of the sport. Would have been on Boxing After Dark at best just 10 years ago.

A YouTuber and a retired Mixed Martial Artist headlined boxing's highest grossing PPV of the year so far (1+ mil). What a joke this sport is.

A YouTube star KOing an ex-MMA fighter with Snoop, Steve Urkel and more on hand was the boxing story of the week. But is it fad or future?

And last year the biggest revenue generating boxing event was two 50 year olds in a 8 round exhibition. So the trend towards popular novelty fights is in full force already unless "real boxing" makes some fights happen that people wanna see.

Because he hasn’t faced a ‘boxer’ yet!

Mike Tyson. If he wasn’t fighting anymore I wouldn’t mention him... but he is.
