I was at a friends house last night with a group of guys who are casual fans and they had no clue Mayweather was fighting next month. I said I wanted to watch the 24/7 and they were clueless. They all proceeded to tell me that they were waiting for the Pacquiao Cotto fight. I tried to hype it upp a bit but who knows.

your friends represent all of the casual fans? im sure there are people out there that knock mayweather is fighting, but dont on cotto-pac.

sure TS. truth is, everyone who doesnt know JMM/PBF are fighting dont know about pac/cotto either...mainly mma buffs though.

lets be real guys, pbf/jmm is getting WAY more publicity now from the casuals than pac/cotto from what i've seen.

I live in Louisville, so the Derby is pretty much the biggest event here other than UofL and UK dominating basketball most seasons. And the entire day at Derby I was texted, "FLOYD IS COMING BACK," "MAYWEATHER IS BACK" all ****ing day. So don't act like people don't know. He's the best fighter in the world and the most hated. People know he's fighting.

I was watching FSN last night and they dedicated an hour-long show to hyping the fight. Hadn't seen them do anything like that for boxing before.
