Excellent post. Jake Paul is the proper road for the future of boxing... Let me qualify this statement; Imagine a day where fans get to directly vote with their money, no middle man, and determine what fights get made. No Bstards like Arum to hold up the works... Just a Go Fund Me type of promotion site. Jake is off in the proportions because he is like 80% internet Marketing and 20% talent/ fighter... But he is the harbinger of a good turn in the road for fight sports.
I also do think he is talented.
Jake Paul deserves respect

”Tommy has started his pro career 5-0 (4 KO) against the sort of opposition young prospects often face, the type of fighters — particularly common in the UK and Europe — affectionately known as “professional losers.” They know their way around the ring but they weren’t brought in to win.
It is, frankly, not much different than what Paul has done to get to 3-0 (3 KO), other than the guys Paul has fought are more well-known for various reasons than Jevgenijs Andrejevs and Genadij Krajevski.
Fury, for his part, says he’d take the fight. Why wouldn’t he? He’s probably confident. He is legitimately trained. He’s got boxing in his blood. I’m sure he’s confident he’d win. And it’s worth a lot of money.”
That’s all I’m sayin’!!!...
“Another name Jake brought up, probably just for the hell of it, is UFC star Nate Diaz, saying he’d knock Diaz out in three rounds:
“I mean, at least he said he’d go three.”
He’d def knockout Diaz in less than 3!!!...

Jake Paul don't need a bunch of OLD Miserable Boxing Fans respect or Approval honestly! He brings his own fans with him so he will continue to CRUSH every Pro Fighter in PPV Buys here in the U.S and that is exactly what some fans have a issue with "How Is This Novice Fighter Selling Far More PPV's And Sparking More Interest Than Their Favorite Professional P4P Fighter"
The kid found his own lane and it is a huge success without us Hardcore Boxing Fans being on Board with it and that bothers some people because old Boxing Fans can come off as very entitled and feels as if something shouldn't do well without their approvalLeave a comment:

he's a legitimate fighter.
He's been putting the work in for 3 years and is no doubt more dedicated than a lot of supposed legitimate fighters.
The kids getting in the ring and putting on a show. Its not like these opponents aren't coming to win.
He's a fighter, a boxer. How good he is right now or can be is anybodies guess really but there is nothing pretend here.
He's never fought a fighter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Leave a comment:

I give him respect because he actually does train and takes it seriously to an extent it seems.
He still has areas he needs to improve on greatly but being unbiased he does things with decent technique that you can tell he has a degree of skill.
As far as him fighting anyone even to close to being a top 20 ranked boxer. Then you are an absolute hater that is being unrealistic in expectation. This guy is still novice. Small gradual step ups is what he should do.Leave a comment:

I have no respect for attention whores. Let him fight a real boxer and then we'll talkLeave a comment:

But why not?
His path is very similar to what Darnell Boone went through early - didn't have a strong backing or training history. Yet that guy beat Adonis Stevenson and dropped both Ward and Kovalev.
We just don't know. That's the point. He deserves respeck for at least getting in there in the first place AND for trying.
We're not talking about someone like Butterbean, who did more to damage the sport back in his day than almost anyone.Leave a comment:
