Now he has beaten an old welterweight wrestler with awful stand up. Don’t get me wrong as Askren has reached the top of a sport which involves a lot of stand up (potentially) so I have to give him a small element of credit.

But let’s be honest, he hasn’t proven anything yet, he could have potential to be the second coming or he doesn’t even reach area title level, who knows.

Hes certainly not taking it seriously though, if he was he would be calling out fighters (actual boxers) who are in his weight division!

NO! However he has find himself a Lane and as long as he stays in it I'm totally OK with him doing his own PPV and fighting other Celebrities and Former Athletes. Boxing fans Get over Yourselves! Kid never asked you to be a fan nor is he trying to win over our Demo. In fact he doesn't even need us and yet this event tonight I'm sure did big PPV Numbers and will do far more than any Professional Boxing PPV Event this year

As far as I can tell, he's seriously trying to be a good boxer. But he'd look really ****** and basic against a proper world class fighter.

It's really pathetic how people can only give credit to people they like. Boxing skills aren't magic, if you train and take it seriously then you'll beat the guy in front of you. Nothing to me suggest Paul doesn't take the craft seriously and everything from his punching to his movement shows that he's obviously built a good base for himself. The guy could easily end up decently ranked if he fights long enough.

Yes he's taking boxing seriously but he's not fighting anyone serious. Fair play to him he's making money, but he won't even beat a top contender in the future.

He's a 3 fight novice with zero amateur experience so who exactly do you think he should be fighting, Marco huck perhaps?

Due to the fact his ppvs put money in a lot of peoples pockets there's no chance he is going to fight some anonymous 3-59 journeyman in a school sports hall which would be the standard for a guy with his experience.

This guy will be doing his apprenticeship behind closed doors.

However, in the context of celebrity boxing, he’s good. If you’re a celebrity or other kind of athlete that doesn’t wanna get embarrassed and flattened in the ring, then don’t fight him.,

He hasn't even boxed a Boxer yet. But he can punch and he does move like a Boxer and he clearly loves it and puts the effort in so fair play to him.

But I've seen many a man think he can box and look like he can box until he fights a Boxer. There are levels to this sport and considering he hasn't fought a Boxer can we even say he is at level 1?
