I remember when I was younger throwing a bolo punch in the gym, and coach coming right over and saying "never let me catch you throwing that **** ever again"
i feel you on that....its def a gamble....but one that can change a fight....risk vs reward for most i guess...just wild that guys see an opening and are reluctant to throw when so many times guys have trouble throwing unless they see an opening at all

He looked fragile to me. I think it’s likely he has a subpar chin. He seemed to be on wobbly legs every time Williams landed.

He did better than I thought, I expected Williams to win, I was obviously wrong but had the fight much closer than the bull hit cards, I had it 115-112.

Andrade gets brutalised by the elite of the division.

What made you ask that from my post? I never compared the two

Korobov did arguably beat Charlo though, which is levels above anything Andrade has done... which is kinda embarrassing for a two weight titleholder

You didn`t, but you kinda think like Andrade has zero chance against Charlo, don`t you?

I am thinking that way: if Korobov was able to look good against Charlo, Andrade also can.

Sure, but that’s not proof of Andrade being any good. You have to achieve in the ring rather than use speculation

Jermall has since gone on to beat a better fighter in Chenko (his only noteworthy name in 4 years at middleweight), so I have some sympathy for the argument that Charlo had an off night

I have no doubts Andrade could beat Jermall if he had an off night, and yet that Korobov performance is still better than anything Andrade has done in his entire career. Says all you need to know about Andrade

If I was going into a boxing war, I'd take Korobov with me than Andrade. At least, Korobov is tough as nails, for as long as it lasts. I could be convinced he beat Jermall. Andrade is a softy with no style or killer instinct.

Sorry, if I'm interrupting something, but I haven't seen the fight and am not planning to. I just chimed in on behalf of Korobov.

i def wouldnt call him "well managed"...but hes been fortunate to kinda live off that buzz his name had many years ago...he still doesnt have a fight anyone has really cared about...although he def has enough money to live off rest of his life right now(at least should)

i cant believe hearn cant leverage AJ to get this guy something worth a ****....when you have one of the biggest assets in boxing in AJ you should be able to use that to get fights for guys like andrade...i dunno maybe andrade hearn are happy as is with this arrangement....i mean andrade is getting checks for fights he should win

and hes always been the type to fight in spurts
On the bold, that is kind of my thought too - not with just Andrade but with a lot of guys now. They are content enough to take 'easy' wins for 1 million. I really don't know who does, or doesn't, want to challenge himself these days. It's a mess to work through all of it.

The Ricky Williams comparison is spot on for Andrade though. Great point there, I think they have a similar mentality overall with their sports

That may be it...maybe he fights the way he does because he has a shaky chin, and knows it
