Honestly I still don’t believe that he broke his orbital bone, that for me was damage control to ease the fact that he quit. Like there is nothing wrong in him quitting, because he literally couldn’t see out of the eye, and he might be scared due to that. But his injury and recovery time just doesn’t add up. And that fact that right after the fight, within minutes they were campaigning that he broke his orbitals......Like that needs confirmation in a clinic by a consultant under the lights, not in a treatment room at a sport arena.

If he broke his orbital bone, he wouldn't be returning before Joyce

      100% damage control.

Its pure madness, at least let him win a comeback fight first, then go in there and make his next fight an interim one, but noooo.... Isn’t Charr like an interim champ? Or champ in recess?
I don't even know anymore. Oprah is the president of the WBA and everyone gets a MF belt

Are you putting DDD on the same level of Wilder with this nonsense as well? I got a tip for you son. Think before you speak. Wilder is a actual world champ. DDD was a prospect who was exposed.
“where you can't be coming off a loss to be considered for a title fight should have at least 3 wins in a row or been extremely competitive in their last fight even in a losing effort”

I didn’t make that statement you did , and that qualifies DDD more then anyone because he was ahead in the Joyce fight at least giving a good account of himself , in actuality Joyce won the fight because of his chin and therefore was able to accumulate damage over a period of time where some of those shots from DDD put most to sleep so again what are you talking about you don’t become exposed if your a prospect still ?

Wilder lost his last fight and hasn’t been active making egg weight excuses. He was offered the fight but declined it Just like the Martin one so what are you even talking about acting like an active fighter shouldn’t take the opportunity to get back in the game ? Wilder wants Negron because it’s the safest fight out there while making a case he’s fighting a guy out of the Ortiz camp .

It’s posters like you that actually give boxing a bad name pointing the exposed finger as soon as someone loses .

A tougher comeback fight than most prospects take after a stoppage. It's a shame the ridiculous belt situation is distracting from that.

You are absolutely correct - my mistake. Serve me right for doing a half-assed search and not reading the full article. Apologies.

I cannot diss him for taking that knee because it’s not like I can claim I would of fought on. I didn’t meant no disrespect with my original comment. But tbh the way you’ve just put it, I couldn’t word it any better than that , I wholeheartedly agree with you.

I didn't think you were, non-should anyone think that you are verbally throwing abuse at him. We are just saying what is there for all to see. He did quit..

Its called money, boxers get bumped up in ranking due to their commercial gains. Its disgusting imo.

Fight is ok, just move that meaningless belt away.

I mean, we will have 2 new "interim" champs soon, because Joyce - Usyk will be for interim WBO belt.
