Ever since it was reported by the Athletic and ESPN that Crawford and Pacquiao are in negotiations for a fight, the Crawford haters post multiple threads about how it’s all a lie and attack the journalists on this website for writing about it.

I think it's because everyone is lowkey Crawford fans, and they're just mad that Bob Arum tricked us again about false fight announcements. That's what triggered me. Nah, but for real, I'm mad that Crawford is praised for #1 pfp, but doesn't have the resume of a #1 pfp fighter. And everytime I hear lies about his possible fights, it just makes me think about how he's trying to duck and dodge elite fighters, IMO.

People are responding to the fact that there was supposed to be a major PPV announcement regarding Crawford but it never happened.

Also, the Athletic stated this as "Top Rank has informed its network partner, ESPN, and pay-per-view distributor In Demand to hold June 5 for the potential fight it's exploring between Pacquiao and Crawford, sources said"

"exploring a potential fight" is lawyer talk that sounds like it means Bob inquired multiple times and Manny's team likely told them a number it would take to begin discussions. Is that really "negotiations"?
