He's a total unknown in the UK market. I don't keep as up to date as I used to but still far more knowledgeable than your average punter and I still had to boxrec who he is.

His record looks decent to be fair. But they're not going to put Benn in a dangerous fight like that with no upside. There'd be no money or title on the line right now. As a fan, I'd love to see it but his team would see it as high risk, low reward

I don't see it as a problem though, there's plenty of good names out there for both, it's a great division and if they both keep winning, they'll meet when it makes more sense

You know, the one with the trainer saying he has a lot of development to go, that a European title will probably be the plan in the near future, that Amir Khan is a fight that can be made but won't be his next fight.

If the trainer is saying he's not ready for Amir Khan just yet, why would he mention Jarron Ennis?

It's a different era, I'm not saying better, but things have changed since his old man was a fighter. Big money and social media have changed the game

Like I said, I don't disagree that it would be great to see. But it's not realistic these days. He's not going to go to America, to fight somebody nobody back home has heard of, for a lot less than he would make fighting a less dangerous 'name' fighter on a Matchroom card, for no title in a fight that would set him back a year+ if he lost. Every hater would come out of the woodwork saying "I told you he was a bum". So it just doesn't make sense.

This isn't aimed at you, but boxing fans in general are the worst. They demand good fights and then trash anybody who steps up and loses so they deserve fighters being risk averse.

I don’t care what his trainer said, I know he caled
out Porter and Broner who are former world champions....if he can call them out he can take on a contender . Quit trying to protect him
