The perpetual ring of old champs Porter Thurman Spence Ugas Garcia Pacman, on the round robin circuit have fought each other so often that nobody cares anymore. And the reason is because there is already new breed that is ready right now to start crushing each and every one of them. Fight these guys or get out of the way you crusty fossils. .

Boots let me just say this, if I’m champion and their not offering a boat load of $$$ I will make your talented ass wait too! I remember being from Detroit when Tyrone Butter Fly Trice was the same way, but then got his shot and got stopped in a very great battle against Simon Brown. Be patient, work hard and remain humble and good things come to those who wait.

He should go the IBF route if he wants his shot, the other belts will just play with him

There should be no talk of title fights for Boots or Ortiz until they get in the ring with each other or they are just as sorry as Spence and Crawford. Scared to get in there and take an L doing nothing but fighting guys they are highly favored against. It's BS. Whats the hold up? They are the same age, both competing at 147 with 20 sum fights..

These young guys don't really wanna mix it up, they want to talk about some down the line PPV BS while they try to take the easy route to title shots by knocking off a couple 140 guys TFOH..

I think Ennis should fight Abdukakhorov, like someone said petition the IBF to make it a title eliminator. Same thing for the WBO petition to fight Custio Clayton because Porter wont fight him. He's not ranked by the WBA so even fighting a Jamal James probably wont happen especially since it would be for the regular title and I think James is already going to have to fight Butaev for that title. A fight with Thurman may get a good boost into the top spot in the WBC. Ortiz being the WBA Gold champ means he should get a title shot soon with either Ugas or the winner of Spence-Ugas

"Ennis, who is promoted by Cameron Dunkin, isn’t affiliated with Al Haymon’s Premier Boxing Champions or Bob Arum’s Top Rank, either, which will make getting an optional title shot more difficult.

Spence and Ugas are advised by Haymon and Crawford is promoted by Arum’s company."

That right there is what's wrong with boxing. You shouldn't have to be affiliated with a certain promoter to get fights against the top ranked boxers and the champions.

The Muhammad Ali Act should be ammended to include something about promoters not being allowed to stall the careers of fighters who are not signed to them.

Two guys people love to boast about being top welterweights but never take any real fights outside of the thrumpings they take in their championship fights. These two guys could have easily lost to various other fighters, that’s how flawed they are, despite being consistently recycled into fights for belts, if anything, these two have some dues to pay to “earn” another shot at a championship. Not coming off ***ing Formella.
Perfect post, great points.... Between Porter and Danny Garcia who were the best wins at 147? Broner? That’s it?

It’s not just the “Young guys” it’s an American thing. Look how Thurman didn’t want any smoke with Spence! And they were both on the same side. Look how Spence doesn’t want any with Bud 3/4 years now.

James Degale and George Groves fought early in their careers in the UK, Dubois and Joyce, Whyte and Joshua etc and it didn’t kill their careers even if they lost.

Americans are stuck on this undefeated thing, you can see some of their posters on here talking about another boxer losing and his their career is over!!! Like WTF? Why would these boxers fight each other if that’s the mentality that you guys carry around there.
