I can understand why he’s frustrated. I could see a 7-5 result his way but I don’t think it was a robbery. He was lucky in the 11th that he wasn’t KOd as he seemed to lower his head and got hit in the back of the head which a lot of refs would not have ruled a foul. Smith landed the harder shots throughout the fight and made a good, late push. I can accept the decision but could see it go either way.Comment

Corruption is good for American boxing you mean. Without it, you're nothing. That, and an assortment of other things you use to stack the deck to gain advantage.Good to see the Stars and Stripes getting ANOTHER world champion and it’s good to see what has effectively been a return to boxing by the white American demographic that had been missing for so long....Plant, Smith, hopefully joined by Milnecki and Spencer in the future was well as others. It’s good for American boxingComment

So the winner before the fight starts should automatically go to the bigger puncher, even though they got controlled for the vast majority of the fight and clearly lost? That's not how it works. Smith barely landed anything. He looked inept all night and out of his depth.
But could you imagine Vlasov with a bit of power? He would have wiped Smith out in seconds.Comment

I thought Vlasov won the fight even if Smith did finish strong but he did look very basic and ordinary.Comment

Wannabe gangster "Oldskoolg" talking about how it's good to see a return to boxing by the white American demographic. That's hilarious. Who gives a damn what race the guy is. If you're a good fighter you're a good fighter. I was rooting for Joe Smith all the way but not because the "white American demographic" needed to be represented more. GTFOH with that race based nonsense.Good to see the Stars and Stripes getting ANOTHER world champion and it’s good to see what has effectively been a return to boxing by the white American demographic that had been missing for so long....Plant, Smith, hopefully joined by Milnecki and Spencer in the future was well as others. I don't think you're far off there but I don't know if it was a flat out robbery. Vlasov clearly won the first 3 rounds and most of 7-10. Smith looked out of sorts for a lot of the fight and was missing a lot of wild haymakers, walking into punches, etc. I don't know how compubox had him outlanding Vlasov. That didn't make sense to me. It probably should've been a draw or Vlasov edging it. I was going for Smith all the way but I had it 6 rounds to 5 for Vlasov and 1 even. I could see it being the other way around but 8-4 or wider for Smith is total BS for sure.Yeah, this was a flat out robbery. The fight was competitive, true, but it was not close, not by the way a fight is judged. There were 7 clear Vlasov rounds imo, there should be no way a judge could have scored the fight for Smith, I had at 116-112 Vlasov and felt very good about that card. I'd like to see the WBO mandate Vlasov vs Salamov as a final eliminatorComment
