I say yes because if a fighter pushes his head to a position where the other fighter can only hit him back in the back of the head, then its no longer a rabbit punch, just as when a fighter ducks down & gets hit,its supposed to be legal imho.
Did the ref rob Smith of a ko?

If a fighter comes forward & puts his head in a position where its impossible to punch him anywhere but the back of the head its supposed to be legit. A rabbit punch is if a fighter reaches around the head to hit in the back of the head.Comment

Can't say if Smith could have closed the show but the ref didn't handle that well, especially letting Vlasov get instructions from his corner.Comment

No he took a shot to the back of the head and could have took much more time if he wanted though Smith had him in some trouble there.Comment

Can anyone say that boxing has ever been consistent when it comes to discerning between whats a rabbit punch & what isn't?
After all in boxing fighters constantly turn their heads in such a way that their opponent can only throw a right hand to the head by hitting them in the back of their turned head thats right in their grill.
What comes to mind is Wilder vs Fury 2 when Wilder did what I just wrote above,& he was rightfully ruled ktfd?
I wonder if the ref had money on the over or it going to decision?Last edited by kushking; 04-11-2021, 12:28 AM.Comment

I can't argue your point, I saw rabbit punches in just about every bout on this and the PBC card, all I saw were warnings, and Vlasov gets a timeout in his corner. Again, ref didn't handle it well.Comment
